The Project

This was the second room in a multi-room Frame TV project for the same Cary home. The first installation was above the fireplace in the living room. For this room — a more casual space off the main hallway — the brief was the same: a 55" Samsung Frame TV that looks like framed art on the wall, with absolutely no visible cables.

The room has a clean, warm aesthetic with light walls, hardwood floors, and traditional furniture. A Frame TV was the right choice. But a Frame TV with cables running down the wall defeats the entire purpose. In-wall concealment was not optional — it was the point.

The Challenge

Zero cables, zero compromises. In-wall wire concealment on a standard drywall wall requires routing cables inside the wall between two low-voltage brackets — one behind the TV, one near the floor or furniture. The challenge is doing this cleanly without visible patch work, and ensuring the TV's power and signal cables both disappear completely.

Height and centering above furniture. With no fireplace or architectural reference above the TV, the placement decisions shifted to the furniture below and the room's proportions. The TV needed to be centered above the dresser and at the right height — high enough to clear the furniture visually, low enough for comfortable viewing from the room's seating position.

Our Solution

We routed all cables — power and signal — inside the wall using a low-voltage recessed bracket behind the TV and a matching power kit near the baseboard. No raceways, no visible cables of any kind from the front, sides, or at floor level.

The Samsung No-Gap Wall Mount brought the TV flush to the wall surface. Combined with the hidden cables, the result is a Frame TV that appears to float on the wall — nothing attached, nothing hanging, nothing breaking the illusion.

Centering was measured against the wall width and the furniture below, with the TV positioned to read as balanced in the space rather than arbitrarily placed.

The Result

The finished installation is exactly what in-wall concealment is for. The 55" Samsung Frame TV sits flush on the wall with no visible hardware, no cables, and no raceways. In Art Mode it looks precisely like a large framed artwork. The clean walls and warm room aesthetic are preserved completely. This is part of what made this a satisfying multi-room project — the same standard applied in both rooms, and both achieved the same result.
